Description:

A National Business Law Firm is seeking a mid-level associate attorney for a position with our Business Litigation practice group in Fort Worth, to work primarily on white collar, SEC, and general commercial litigation matters. The associate will work with a team representing public companies, audit and special committees, hedge funds, private equity funds, asset managers, broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, accountants and lawyers, and other institutions in a wide variety of disputes. In addition to SEC and government investigations litigation, the associate would also work on general commercial disputes and fiduciary litigation, representing the firm's broad array of clients.

The ideal candidate will also have experience in the following areas:
  • White-Collar Defense: Conducting investigations and defending organizations against allegations of misconduct or fraud, primarily in the spheres of accounting, securities, healthcare, broker-dealer and investment-adviser enforcement, and public corruption.
  • Securities Litigation: Advising on compliance and defending organizations and individuals through all stages of investigations initiated by the SEC, the Texas State Securities Board, FINRA, DOJ, and other state and SRO securities regulators.
  • Complex business litigation: All candidates must have at least two years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience at an AmLaw 200 firm, and at least 3 years of litigation experience overall.
  • Litigation skills: Candidates should be proficient at deposition preparation, e-discovery, motion practice and trial preparation in commercial cases.
  • Strong academics: Seeking candidates in the top third of their law school class. Must provide transcript.
