The Firm has offices in Pine Brook, New Jersey, and New York City.Frier Levitt's Pine Brook, New Jersey, office seeks an experienced, mid-level Regulatory Associate Attorney with Healthcare or Life Sciences experience.
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for, and should be familiar with:
- Researching, analyzing, and drafting memoranda related to complex Healthcare and Life Sciences arrangements
- Evaluating existing and/or proposed business practices to identify regulatory compliance issues and recommending risk mitigation options
- Drafting and negotiating transactional documents including service, purchase, management, lease, licensing, employment, operating, and shareholder agreements
- Preparing change of ownership filings and other agency notifications related to Healthcare and Life Sciences licensees
- Communicating effectively with clients
Requirements:
- Licensed to Practice in NJ
- Licensed in NY or other states a plus (CA admission a particular plus)
- 4+ years' experience practicing law
- Experience with healthcare laws and regulations, including:
- Federal and state anti-kickback laws
- Federal and state self-referral prohibitions
- HPAA and patient privacy provisions
- False Claims Act
- Healthcare Fraud Statute
- Experience with state telehealth requirements and professional practice regulations a plus
- Corporate practice of medicine prohibitions
- Superior research and writing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong preference for law school GPA of 3.0+
