Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the New York office for a Real Estate Litigation Attorney with six to nine years of commercial real estate litigation experience.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have experience in all aspects of real estate litigation as well as general commercial litigation experience. The role involves representing property owners, cooperative and condominium boards, landlords, property managers, developers, commercial tenants, and other parties in disputes involving property rights, leasing issues, construction defects and delays, and other contentious matters. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
  • Experience in all aspects of litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Experience with general litigation, landlord-tenant litigation, license/access agreements, construction contracts and litigation, development agreements, contract disputes, and co-op/condominium litigation strongly preferred.
  • Experience evaluating client rights and recourse under various agreements, including leases, licenses, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Experience negotiating and drafting amendments, extensions, and modifications.
  • Experience with corporate and shareholder disputes a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
