Job Overview:JZ Law Group, P.C. is a growing boutique law firm specializing in real estate disputes, landlord-tenant matters, and civil litigation. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Litigation Attorney to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in civil litigation. Experience in real estate litigation, including unlawful detainers, landlord-tenant disputes, breach of contract, and quiet title actions, is a significant plus. Candidates should be comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, appearing in court, and handling motion practice.
Responsibilities:
- Manage real estate litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
- Handle landlord-tenant disputes, unlawful detainers, and related real estate claims
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written briefs
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Develop case strategy in collaboration with the litigation team
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of California real estate and landlord-tenant law
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Solid litigation and motion practice experience
- Confident courtroom presence and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and organization
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
