Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team. RPatel Law is creating a new department into the firm to cater the needs of its clients' on demand. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of real estate transactions, lease negotiations, and property development matters. This role requires a strong understanding of real estate law combined with expertise in various legal disciplines to support our clients' commercial property needs. The attorney will play a vital role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and managing complex legal issues related to commercial real estate.
This role is ideal for an attorney who has 5+ years of experience and wants to lead a team/department. The attorney will have a chance to create a partnership and build the department from scratch. This will give working hours flexibility and create their own clientele.
Duties:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
- Provide legal advice on property acquisitions, dispositions, zoning, land use, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions.
- Assist clients with estate planning related to real estate holdings and succession planning.
- Advise on environmental law issues affecting property development and management.
- Manage litigation matters related to landlord-tenant disputes, title issues, or contractual disagreements.
- Collaborate with law office staff to prepare legal documents and maintain accurate case files.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations including tribal law & regulations where applicable.
- Participate in negotiations with clients, vendors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Support the firm's research efforts by utilizing legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis for case law updates.
Skills:
- Proven experience and expertise in Real Estate transaction, landlord & Tenant and commercial property
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively advocate for clients' interests.
- Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting contracts, legal memos, briefs, and other documents.
- Experience with legal drafting and administrative procedures within a law office setting.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues quickly and provide clear guidance.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
