Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge and expertise in residential and commercial real estate transactions, with an emphasis on the acquisition and disposition of commercial multi-family transactions involving Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

Key Responsibilities:
Residential
  • Review and analyze title searches in preparation for submitting title commitments to lenders.
  • Conduct closing transactions between buyers and sellers.

Commercial:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on legal issues related to commercial real estate and low-income housing tax credits.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure legal compliance with state and federal regulations involving LIHTC and mitigate risks associated with commercial transactions.
  • Draft required legal documents for LIHTC multi-family commercial transactions.
  • Maintain positive client relationships, provide exceptional service, and contribute to the positive reputation of the firm in the legal community.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed to Practice Law for at least 3-6 years.
  • Strong experience in tax credit financing, affordable housing, and economic development.
  • Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
  • Real estate residential closing experience, including reviewing and clearing titles with extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude and the ability to provide attentive client support.
  • Proficiency in the preparation of legal documents for business clients.
  • Prior staff support and closing room experience is a plus.
