Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks a midlevel associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join its robust Real Estate practice in Los Angeles. The associate will work closely with a collaborative team of attorneys representing developers, investors, lenders, landlords, tenants, and other market participants in a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. This role offers significant client contact, hands-on responsibility, and opportunities to work on complex and high-profile matters across multiple asset classes.Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, and other real estate transaction documents
- Conduct and manage due diligence review, including title and survey analysis
- Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, development projects, and leasing matters
- Coordinate transaction closings and post-closing matters
- Collaborate with attorneys across practices on corporate, finance, land use, and hospitality-related matters
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, brokers, and consultants
- Manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in California or eligibility to waive into the California Bar
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant commercial real estate experience at a law firm
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Experience handling sophisticated real estate transactions from inception through closing
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
