Description:

The Private Wealth Services group is seeking a mid-level associate (4–7 years of experience) to join its New York office. The group advises high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and closely held business owners on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and related tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate and tax planning strategies, including gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters
  • Structure and implement sophisticated estate plans (wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, family limited partnerships, LLCs, etc.)
  • Counsel clients on wealth preservation, business succession planning, and philanthropic planning
  • Assist with estate and trust administration, including post-mortem tax planning
  • Work on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional planning matters where applicable
  • Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, tax, and real estate practices to deliver integrated solutions
  • Participate in client development and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications:
  • 4–7 years of experience in trusts and estates / private wealth services at an Am Law firm or leading boutique
  • Strong background in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals
  • Experience drafting complex estate planning documents independently
  • Exposure to estate and trust administration is preferred
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong writing/analytical skills
  • Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to waive in)

The expected pay range for this position is:
Salary Range: $310,000 - $420,000
