Day Pitney's Private Client Department (PCD) is seeking a counsel with a minimum of 8 years of trusts and estates experience to join our nationally recognized practice in our New York, NY office.Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in high-net-worth trust and estate planning and administration, including knowledge of relevant state and federal tax laws. Experience with domestic estate planning, including succession planning, lifetime giving, estate and income taxation issues, charitable giving; estate planning for retirement assets; and tax-efficient family wealth transfer strategies is a preferred.

Hybrid Work Environment
Day Pitney recognizes the value of flexible working arrangements alongside the benefits of in-office collaboration. To support both, the firm offers a hybrid work environment that provides attorneys the ability to work remotely two days per week. Flexibility on days in the office, part time candidates, and candidates who would prefer to spend any in-office days in one of Day Pitney's other offices outside of New York will also be considered.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in sophisticated private client matters involving trusts and estates, including tax and succession planning
- Excellent technical, professional and client service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
- Member of New York State bar in good standing (required)

The salary range for this position in New York is $230,000 - $260,000 annually, contingent on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
