Salary: $95,000 – $140,000 base + lucrative case-fee bonuses (fee split)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney at RMD Law, you will:

Advocate for Clients: Manage your own caseload of personal injury claims from intake through settlement. Serve as the primary contact for your clients, keeping them informed and ensuring they feel supported.
Negotiate Settlements: Use your negotiation skills to communicate with insurance adjusters and defense counsel in pursuit of maximum compensation for our clients. You'll be extracting maximum value and fighting for justice every day.
Collaborate with Team: Work closely with case managers and legal assistants to gather records, investigate claims, assess liability and damages, and prepare compelling demand packages. At our firm, attorneys, paralegals, and partners work as a tight-knit team to strategize the best outcomes.
Learn and Grow: Receive one-on-one mentorship in all aspects of pre-litigation practice – from the finer points of the insurance code to effective demand writing and negotiating tactics.
Client Service: Provide excellent client service with empathy and professionalism. Many of our clients are going through the toughest time of their lives; you will be both an advocate and a guide, answering their questions and reassuring them throughout the process.
Detail Management: Maintain organized electronic files and document all case developments. Precision is key – you'll ensure that medical records, bills, and negotiation notes are thoroughly documented.

Qualifications:

Licensed Attorney in California – in good standing with the CA Bar (Required).
0–3 Years of Experience in personal injury law or another field of law. We are ready to train an exceptional newly-admitted attorney or attorney in another practice area who is eager to learn.
Outstanding communication skills – you are charismatic and clear on the phone and in writing. (If you can be compelling and persuasive in conversation, you'll excel in this role!)
Negotiation mindset – you have a knack for advocacy and won't take “lowball” for an answer. Prior experience negotiating injury claims or even internships in PI law are a plus.
Organized & Detail-Oriented – able to juggle multiple cases and deadlines without dropping the ball. You take pride in doing things right, not just quickly.
Team Player with a Positive Attitude – we're big on culture. You work well with others, have a good sense of humor, and contribute to an uplifting office environment. Our firm runs on collaboration, so being supportive and proactive is a must.
