Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pre-Litigation Employment Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing employment-related disputes before they escalate to litigation, providing strategic legal counsel, and supporting clients through complex employment issues. Your expertise will help shape effective pre-litigation strategies, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing potential legal risks. Duties:
  • Conduct thorough legal research on employment statutes, procedural law, and relevant case law using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents including demand letters, settlement agreements, and pre-litigation correspondence with clients and opposing parties.
  • Assess employment claims by analyzing factual evidence, interviewing clients, and evaluating potential liability in areas such as employment law, wrongful termination, discrimination, and workplace harassment.
  • Develop case strategies for early resolution by negotiating with opposing counsel or parties to reach amicable settlements outside of court.
  • Prepare for trial by organizing case files, drafting pleadings, and assisting with trial preparation activities related to employment disputes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal options, procedural steps, and potential outcomes while maintaining high standards of client service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on cases involving diverse practice areas such as family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, and general litigation to ensure comprehensive legal support.

Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction(s).
  • Proven experience in employment law case management from initial client intake through resolution of pre-litigation matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle personal injury cases and conduct court depositions effectively.
  • Strong background in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms; familiarity with statutory legal research is essential.
  • Experience drafting contracts, motions for legal motions preparation, and conducting procedural law research.
  • Prior work experience in a law office setting involving litigation support and client communication is highly preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal documents; proficiency in legal negotiation and advocacy is a plus.
