Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to handle pre-litigation personal injury matters. This position is ideal for a young attorney looking to gain hands-on experience in client management, negotiations, and court filings while working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Litigation Personal Injury
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers
- Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement value of claims
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
- Assist with minor settlement & wrongful death probate matters
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel on probate-related matters
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Indiana or awaiting bar results
- 0–3 years of legal experience preferred (personal injury experience a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Comfortable negotiating with insurance companies
- Detail-oriented, organized, and client-focused
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with personal injury pre-litigation processes
- Experience with court filings and e-filing systems
- Basic understanding of probate law and procedures
- Proficiency with case management software
