We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney to manage a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement. The ideal candidate is proactive, client-focused, and comfortable handling negotiations with insurance carriers while working collaboratively with support staff and firm leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a pre-litigation personal injury caseload from inception through settlement.
- Evaluate liability, damages, and case value.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.
- Review medical records, bills, and supporting documentation.
- Draft and review demand packages and settlement communications.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense representatives.
- Provide strategic guidance to Case Managers and support staff.
- Identify cases requiring escalation to litigation and assist with file transfer.
- Ensure all files are maintained accurately, and deadlines are met.
- Maintain compliance with California legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- 1+ years of personal injury experience preferred.
- Experience handling plaintiff-side pre-litigation personal injury matters.
- Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to excellent service.
- Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience evaluating injury claims and settlement values.
- Familiarity with medical records and treatment analysis.
- Experience working in a high-volume personal injury practice.
