Position Overview:As an integral member of our litigation team, the ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with consumer warranty defense experience being a plus. You will work alongside experienced attorneys in defending our clients' interests through all stages of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. We are looking for an attorney who is committed to providing excellent client service, is driven to achieve favorable outcomes, and is prepared to grow within our firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Defend and take depositions
- Engage in settlement negotiations and prepare settlement agreements.
- Appear for court for hearings
- Participate in meet and confer sessions with opposing counsel.
- Assist in trial preparation and strategy.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategy and motions.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 3-5 years of civil litigation experience; consumer warranty defense experience is a plus.
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes and client representation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
