Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
  • Serves as a legal advisor and business partner providing legal advice and assistance on matters related to a health law practice area.
  • Provides legal guidance and counsel on topics including:
  • Physician recruitment arrangements
  • Physician employment arrangements
  • Professional services agreements
  • Medico-administrative and call coverage arrangements
  • Working with internal and external partners on Fair Market Value analyses, including utilization of internal tools
  • Supporting operations of a large medical group with locations in 16 states
  • Supporting hospital operations regarding physician engagement
  • General contracting
  • Requires working in a mission focused, dynamic and collaborative team environment with other healthcare attorneys and direct engagement with business and clinical operations teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides strategic legal advice, support and counsel through the organization's legal function in support of strategic and operational priorities.
  • Supports, promotes and implements legal initiatives.
  • Advances the implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Keeps current with legal developments affecting the health law practice area and incorporates such information into advice, counsel and support for the organization.

Requirements:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Attorney obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:
Juris Doctorate degree required.

Work Experience:
5 years of experience as licensed, practicing attorney required.
