Description:
The Position:We are seeking a Nevada-licensed attorney with personal injury experience, including litigation experience, to join our team and play a significant role in building Avian Law Group's Nevada practice.
Trial experience is not required.
We care much more about finding someone who understands personal injury, is comfortable litigating cases, takes ownership of their work, and can independently move cases forward. The attorney will have substantial responsibility for Nevada matters while working with the firm's existing attorneys, case managers, paralegals, intake team and support staff.
Because this attorney will also serve an important role in the firm's Nevada operations, part of the position will include helping ensure that Avian Law Group's Nevada practice remains compliant with Nevada State Bar requirements, Nevada ethical rules and other rules governing the operation of a multijurisdictional law firm.
We are not looking for someone simply to lend their Nevada license to the firm. We want an attorney who will genuinely participate in and help lead the Nevada practice. As the Nevada practice grows, we expect the responsibilities and opportunities associated with this position to grow with it. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of that process.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Nevada personal injury matters from intake through resolution
- Serve as a principal attorney on Nevada matters
- Evaluate liability, damages and overall case strategy
- Draft and review complaints, motions, pleadings and other litigation documents

- Maintain regular and meaningful communication with clients
- Work closely with the firm's case managers, paralegals and litigation support staff
- Supervise and provide guidance regarding Nevada legal matters when appropriate
- Help develop processes and procedures for the firm's Nevada practice
- Help ensure the firm's Nevada operations comply with Nevada State Bar rules, ethical requirements and applicable regulations
- Work with firm leadership regarding Nevada-specific compliance issues
- Help establish and grow Avian Law Group's presence in Nevada

- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, dependable and accountable
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff across multiple offices
- Willingness to take an active role in maintaining the firm's Nevada compliance
- Ability to work full-time from the firm's Nevada office
Someone who wants a rigid hierarchy and constant supervision probably will not enjoy working here. Someone who wants autonomy, responsibility and an opportunity to help build something will.
The people who tend to do well at Avian Law Group are:
- Independently motivated
- Accountable
- Collaborative
- Comfortable making decisions
- Willing to ask for help when they need it
- Willing to help someone else when they need it
- Serious about their work without taking themselves too seriously
- Good with clients
- Good with coworkers
- Good human beings
- We care about results, but we also care about how people treat one another along the way.
Who We Are:
- Avian Law Group is a rapidly growing personal injury law firm. We started approximately three and a half years ago with five people who each left their big-firm roots with a simple goal: build the next-level law firm. Today, we are more than 70 people strong and continuing to grow.
- As part of that growth, we are expanding into Nevada and looking for an experienced Nevada-licensed attorney to help lead and develop our Nevada practice.
- This is not your typical law firm. There is no micromanagement. There is a lot of joking around. There is camaraderie. We work hard, but we also genuinely like the people we work with. That freedom comes with responsibility.
- You have to be accountable for your work. You have to care about people. You have to be independently driven. You have to do what you say you are going to do. We celebrate when each other does well, we help each other do better, and we support each other when someone needs it.
- In other words, we are looking for good human beings who can do the work they commit to doing.
Compensation:
$135,000–$180,000 annual base salary. The position also includes an opportunity to earn meaningful performance-based bonuses.
