As our litigation department continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic practice.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience, develop case strategy, maximize case value, and work closely with an experienced legal team dedicated to client success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a personal injury litigation caseload from filing through resolution
- Supervise and work closely with litigation paralegals and support staff
- Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, and civil complaints
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare cases for mediation and attend mediations
- Appear in Superior Court for hearings, law and motion matters, and case management conferences
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, motions in limine, and trial strategy
- Opportunity to first-chair and second-chair trials based on experience and performance
- Evaluate and develop case strategy to maximize case value
- Review medical records, evidence, and supporting documentation for demands and litigation preparation
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress
- Coordinate investigations, medical treatment updates, and expert/med-legal evaluations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case development
- Accurately document case activity using case management software
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
- Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply, including newly admitted attorneys and experienced trial attorneys
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
