Description:

At Text Kevin Accident Attorneys, we help accident victims move forward after difficult moments in their lives. Our litigation attorneys take ownership of cases once litigation begins — developing strategy, building evidence, and driving each matter toward the best possible outcome.

We're growing and looking for an experienced, on-site Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our team in Irvine.

This role focuses on managing plaintiff-side personal injury cases from filing through resolution. You'll lead litigation strategy, manage discovery, take and defend depositions, handle motion practice and court appearances, negotiate settlements, and prepare cases for mediation and trial.

If you value ownership, accountability, strong advocacy, and making a meaningful impact on clients' lives, this role is a strong fit.

What You'll Do:
Most days include developing litigation strategy, managing discovery, preparing for depositions and court appearances, communicating with clients, negotiating with defense counsel, and moving cases toward resolution or trial.
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury litigation matters from filing through settlement or trial
  • Develop and execute litigation strategy based on liability, damages, evidence, and case value
  • Draft and review complaints, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
  • Propound and respond to written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and other relevant individuals
  • Handle discovery disputes and related motion practice
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and other court proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and apply independent legal judgment to litigation issues
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide legal guidance, case updates, and expectation setting
  • Evaluate settlement opportunities and negotiate with defense counsel and insurance carriers
  • Work with experts, medical providers, witnesses, and other professionals to develop cases
  • Identify case strengths and weaknesses early and adjust strategy accordingly
  • Prepare cases thoroughly for mediation, arbitration, and trial
  • Maintain organized, well-documented case files and litigation deadlines
  • Drive cases forward proactively and efficiently through every stage of litigation

What We're Looking For:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California
  • 3–5 years of civil litigation experience, with plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred
  • Meaningful experience with written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
  • Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
  • Sound judgment and ability to independently develop case strategy
  • Strong understanding of liability, damages, and case valuation
  • Clear, confident communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload, deadlines, and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proactive, accountable approach to moving cases forward
  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential

Trial experience is a plus, but we are primarily looking for a strong litigator who knows how to develop cases, advocate effectively, and get matters ready for trial.

What Success in This Role Looks Like
  • Cases have a clear litigation strategy and are consistently moving forward
  • Discovery is thorough, timely, and used strategically to develop the case
  • Depositions, motions, mediations, and court appearances are well prepared
  • Clients feel informed, supported, and confident in the handling of their cases
  • Deadlines are anticipated and met without unnecessary delays
  • Cases are accurately evaluated based on liability, damages, evidence, and litigation risk
  • Settlement negotiations are strategic and focused on maximizing client recovery
  • Files are organized, complete, and prepared for mediation or trial
  • The attorney takes true ownership of their caseload and results
