We seek a skilled Personal Injury Attorney with a minimum of 2 years experience to independently handle serious injury cases. The attorney will be responsible for handling discovery and assist during mediations and at trial.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in personal injury cases, providing expert legal advice and guidance.
- Conduct thorough investigations of cases, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all communications and proceedings.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting personal injury cases.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to enhance case strategies.
- Provide exceptional client service throughout the legal process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and have a minimum of 2 years handling plaintiff's personal injury cases.
- Active license to practice law in the state of New York.
- Proven experience in plaintiff's personal injury law.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively under tight deadlines.
