Duties:
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, labor law cases, medical malpractice cases.
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Negotiate settlements effectively with insurance companies and opposing counsel to maximize client benefits.
- Prepare for trial by developing case strategies, organizing evidence, and coordinating with experts.
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and offer legal guidance throughout the process.
Experience:
- Admission to practice law in New York and New Jersey is required.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in personal injury law or related litigation is required.
- Strong knowledge of legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and conducting comprehensive legal research.
- Prior experience working in a law office environment with strong organizational skills in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
