Description:
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with at least one year of experience to join our plaintiff firm in Grand Rapids. This role is designed for an attorney ready to manage their own caseload while actively contributing to firm growth. The ideal candidate will have direct exposure to Michigan personal injury litigation, specifically focusing on auto accidents (including Third-Party and First-Party No-Fault) and premises liability claims.Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation Management: Handle a dedicated caseload from complaint drafting and discovery through motions, depositions, and mediation.
- Specialized Advocacy: Apply deep knowledge of Michigan auto insurance laws and premises liability thresholds to maximize case value.
- Client & Case Care: Maintain consistent, empathetic communication with clients while guiding them through the litigation lifecycle.
- Negotiation: Aggressively negotiate with insurance defense counsel and adjusters to secure high-volume, high-value settlements.
- Firm Growth: Actively network and identify opportunities to originate new client cases for the firm.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education & Licensure: J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience, with a strong preference for plaintiff-side auto accident and premises liability work.
- Legal Skills: Proven experience drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and conducting or defending depositions.
- Aptitude: Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and thrive under a volume-based settlement structure.
