The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to handle an active litigation caseload. The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-driven, and ready to take on responsibilities from case initiation through trial.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in all phases of personal injury litigation
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts
  • Conduct mediations, pre-trial hearings, and court appearances
  • Try cases to jurors in Ohio courts
  • Responsible for some pre-litigation files
  • Interview clients and witnesses, gather evidence, and develop case strategies
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies
  • Work closely with paralegals, investigators, and support staff
  • Maintain meticulous case records and documentation
  • Stay updated on legal developments affecting personal injury practice

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice in Ohio
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation
  • Minimum 2-5 years of plaintiff or defense personal injury practice
  • Strong grasp of case management, pleadings, discovery, and trial prep
  • Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage caseload independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience handling motor vehicle accident cases, including truck accidents
  • Trial experience (at least one jury trial preferred)
  • Active membership in the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, or American Association for Justice
  • Civil trial advocacy certification is a plus
