The Cintron Firm, LLC is a New Jersey law practice handling municipal court, criminal defense, and civil litigation matters. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and self-sufficient Per Diem Attorney admitted to the New Jersey State Bar to handle overflow court appearances on an ongoing basis. This position offers a steady, weekly schedule of court appearances across New Jersey municipal and county courts.Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the firm and its clients at scheduled municipal court sessions, arraignments, pre-trial conferences, status conferences, and motions (both virtual and in-person).
- Review case files prior to appearances and effectively communicate with municipal prosecutors, opposing counsel, judges, and court staff.
- Deliver concise, prompt post-appearance summaries and outcome updates to our core team immediately following each session.
- Steady Weekly Volume: Consistent, recurring weekly calendar assignments.
- Seamless Digital Access: Full electronic file access provided via secure cloud storage prior to every scheduled appearance.
- Flexibility: Balance virtual appearances from your home office with localized in-person appearances in Bergen County and surrounding North/Central NJ courts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Licensure: Must be active and in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar (required).
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience handling New Jersey Municipal Court or Criminal/Civil litigation matters.
- Insurance: Must maintain active Professional Liability (Malpractice) Insurance.
- Reliable Transportation: Required for in-person court appearances.
- Rate: Competitive per-appearance or hourly rate (commensurate with experience / flat fee per calendar session).
- Classification: Independent Contractor (1099).
