AV-rated employment defense firm, with offices in the Red Bank and Atlantic City areas is expanding its staff and seeking attorneys with 1-3 years experience and 4-6 years experience in labor/employment and/or commercial litigation, to join our Firm. Candidates should have proven experience and the ability to handle cases from their inception and work independently. Candidates must have superior writing skills and strong research skills. Candidates must have experience in all aspects of litigation, including depositions, discovery, motion practice and court appearances.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and client needs.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.
  • Communicate directly with clients to provide day to day counseling regarding workplace issues, including wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, collective bargaining agreements, employee handbooks, workplace accommodations, non-compete agreements, and contract disputes.

Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the NJ state bar association is required; NY is a plus.
  • Previous experience in labor/employment and/or commercial litigation is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong skills in legal drafting and research are essential for success in this role.
