A Law Firm Handling Corporate and Technology Matters is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join our Washington D.C. office to handle cutting edge software applications including AI, blockchain, interactive entertainment, digital media and other software patents. This associate will work directly with the leader of our AI Team and Blockchain and Fintech Team, among others.

A Law Firm Handling Corporate and Technology Matters seeks a candidate with 3-4 years of patent prosecution experience, with a software, computer science or similar background. Qualified candidates should be self-sufficient with the ability to mine inventions and develop a patent strategy, write and prosecute patents and manage a patent docket. Associate attorney candidates must be comfortable with direct client interaction and be able to handle day to day patent portfolio management. You will work closely with clients, inventors, and other legal professionals to secure and protect their intellectual property rights. You will have opportunities to assist with matters related to the patents, including licensing, infringement and validity opinions, IP due diligence and other transactional work, as they arise. This associate should be a self-starter who has a passion for staying abreast of cutting-edge technology and will have the opportunity to assist in business development in these areas.

Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law in Washington D.C. and before the USPTO. Candidates with work experience at the US Patent Office plus 1-2 years of law firm experience will be strongly considered.
