Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior/Trial Attorney to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and be adept at managing cases from inception through resolution.Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Oversee and manage commercial and real estate litigation cases, ensuring timely progression and resolution.
- File Review: Conduct thorough reviews of case files to assess strengths, weaknesses, and develop strategic plans.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the founding attorney and support staff to ensure cohesive case management.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, gather information, and offer legal guidance.
- Court Representation: Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Legal Research and Writing: Perform legal research and draft necessary motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensure: Active license to practice law in the State of New York.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation; commercial and real estate litigation experience is highly preferred; trial experience is highly preferred.
