Mid-America Law Practice is seeking a Missouri attorney for a flexible, approximately 20-hour-per-week estate-planning position.Mid-America Law Practice is seeking a personable, motivated, and detail-oriented Part-Time Estate Planning Attorney to join our growing practice. This position is ideal for an attorney who wants meaningful legal work, direct client interaction, and a predictable, flexible part-time schedule, while also helping grow and develop an estate-planning practice.
We are looking for approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. We value quality work, excellent client service, professionalism, initiative, and a collaborative work environment.
What You'll Do:
- Meet with clients regarding their estate-planning needs
- Assist with designing comprehensive estate plans
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, and related documents
- Conduct or assist with estate-plan signing meetings
- Review existing estate plans and recommend appropriate updates
- Assist with probate and trust-administration matters as needed
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff
- Help develop and implement marketing and community-outreach initiatives for the firm's estate-planning practice
- Prepare and deliver estate-planning presentations, seminars, workshops, and educational programs
- Develop relationships with community organizations and professional referral sources
- Participate in networking and community events
- Assist with educational and marketing content, including articles, newsletters, social media, and presentation materials
- Help identify opportunities to expand the firm's estate-planning practice
Who We're Looking for:
Applicants must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Missouri.
Estate-planning experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right attorney. Attorneys with backgrounds in probate, trusts, elder law, tax, transactional law, family law, or other areas involving significant client counseling are encouraged to apply.

Schedule:
Approximately 20 hours per week.
We offer a flexible weekday schedule and are open to discussing a schedule that works well for both the attorney and the firm's client needs. Some flexibility to attend occasional seminars, workshops, networking events, or community presentations is desirable.
There may be an opportunity to increase hours in the future if mutually desired.
Compensation:
$45–$55 per hour, depending upon experience and qualifications.
