Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance defense and toxic tort litigation and be capable of providing high-quality legal services while working in our offices or remotely. This is a flexible, part-time position ideal for attorneys seeking work-life balance or supplemental income.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and legal memoranda.
Provide legal counsel and guidance on a variety of legal issues.
Attend court hearings as directed in St. Louis metro and Southern Illinois
Attend depositions via phone or teleconference as necessary.
Review, analyze, and summarize case files, evidence, and legal documentation.
Maintain communication with other legal professionals.
Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and solutions.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership and good standing with Missouri Bar required. Other state bar admissions a plus.
Minimum five years of experience in insurance defense or toxic tort litigation.
Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable with remote work and flexible schedules.
