Description:
About the Opportunity:The Law Offices of Eric A. Shore is launching a plaintiff-side TCPA and consumer protection class action practice with a national footprint, and we are looking for an experienced class action attorney to lead it on an of counsel or contract basis. This is a fee-sharing arrangement, not a salaried position. You bring the class action expertise. We bring case volume, infrastructure, and capital.
Location is open. You can be based anywhere in the country. What matters is your ability to file and litigate in federal courts nationwide, whether through existing admissions or pro hac vice with local counsel.
Since 1994, our firm has represented injured and disabled people across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida. Clients have received or are expected to receive over $250 million in judgments, settlements, and estimated lifetime benefits. We have a large existing client base, an intake operation already running, and the ability to fund litigation costs. What we do not have is a class action lawyer, which is where you come in.
Structure
Compensation is a negotiated share of net attorney fees on cases you lead. The firm advances litigation costs, including pro hac vice fees and local counsel where required. You keep your own practice and take this on alongside it. Volume and terms are open to discussion based on your experience and how involved you want to be.
What you would handle
- Evaluating TCPA claims arising from unwanted calls, robocalls, and text messages
- Selecting favorable venues and drafting complaints with class allegations for filing in federal courts nationwide
- Securing pro hac vice admission and coordinating local counsel as needed
- Discovery, class certification briefing, expert work, mediation, and settlement approval
- Working with our intake team to source viable claims from our existing client base
- Tracking developments under the federal TCPA and the growing set of state telemarketing statutes
Requirements:
- Admission and good standing in at least one state bar, plus admission to multiple federal district courts
- Willingness to seek pro hac vice admission in additional districts as cases require
- Demonstrated class action experience, ideally including TCPA or consumer protection matters
- At least one case taken through class certification
- Strong writing, sound venue judgment, and the ability to run matters independently
- Experience with multi-district or nationwide class practice is a significant plus
Send a resume, a list of the federal courts where you are admitted, and a short summary of the class actions you have handled.
