Davis Law Group Trial Attorneys is expanding its practice and seeking an experienced Of Counsel Bankruptcy Attorney to handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters. This is a flexible, remote position ideal for a self-motivated attorney who wants to focus on practicing law without the administrative burden of marketing, intake, or firm overhead.

You will manage assigned bankruptcy files from intake through discharge, supported by a skilled team handling client screening, document collection, and case administration. The position is compensated by a percentage of collected fees on each case, making it a strong fit for attorneys seeking supplemental income or a flexible, performance-based opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases from petition through discharge
  • Conduct client consultations, review financial documentation, and confirm eligibility
  • Draft, review, and file petitions, schedules, and related pleadings
  • Attend 341 meetings, confirmation hearings, and any required court appearances
  • Communicate regularly with clients, trustees, and court personnel
  • Collaborate with firm staff on client intake, billing, and compliance procedures
  • Ensure all matters are handled in accordance with the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and local rules

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Georgia Bar (Tennessee license a plus)
  • Minimum 3 years of consumer bankruptcy experience (Chapter 7 and/or 13)
  • Familiarity with CM/ECF electronic filing and bankruptcy management software
  • Excellent client communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while meeting firm deadlines
