Description:
Davis Law Group Trial Attorneys is expanding its practice and seeking an experienced Of Counsel Bankruptcy Attorney to handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters. This is a flexible, remote position ideal for a self-motivated attorney who wants to focus on practicing law without the administrative burden of marketing, intake, or firm overhead.You will manage assigned bankruptcy files from intake through discharge, supported by a skilled team handling client screening, document collection, and case administration. The position is compensated by a percentage of collected fees on each case, making it a strong fit for attorneys seeking supplemental income or a flexible, performance-based opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases from petition through discharge
- Conduct client consultations, review financial documentation, and confirm eligibility
- Draft, review, and file petitions, schedules, and related pleadings
- Attend 341 meetings, confirmation hearings, and any required court appearances
- Communicate regularly with clients, trustees, and court personnel
- Collaborate with firm staff on client intake, billing, and compliance procedures
- Ensure all matters are handled in accordance with the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and local rules
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the Georgia Bar (Tennessee license a plus)
- Minimum 3 years of consumer bankruptcy experience (Chapter 7 and/or 13)
- Familiarity with CM/ECF electronic filing and bankruptcy management software
- Excellent client communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely while meeting firm deadlines
