Full-time or Part-time position (minimum 3 days/week) available for NEWLY ADMITTED lawyer as LITIGATION ASSOCIATE to handle active case load, including commercial, contract, property, and similar litigation matters. This position is temporary (employee on leave), but may become permanent based on performance. Responsibilities include client contact, court appearances, and court argument, including federal court practice. Must have initiative and enjoy being a lawyer. Must be interested in the art of lawyering; thorough training provided. While we are looking for a recent graduate, applicant must nevertheless be fully admitted or approaching admission to NY bar. Federal court admission is a plus, but not necessary.Applicants MUST LIVE in or around Westchester, Queens, or Bronx areas, otherwise the commute will be inconvenient. Also, car is a must for travel to clients or court. Please DO NOT APPLY if you live outside these areas.
