LaCourse Law is seeking a Motion & Brief Writing Attorney to join our growing litigation team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is an ideal opportunity for an attorney with exceptional legal writing and research skills who wants to play a critical role in high-stakes personal injury, medical malpractice, civil litigation, and family law cases.
Our attorneys work together to provide exceptional advocacy, strategic thinking, and outstanding client service. As our firm continues to grow, we're looking for someone who enjoys digging into complex legal issues and producing work that directly impacts case outcomes.
What You'll Do:
- Research complex legal issues across multiple practice areas.
- Draft motions, responses, replies, and appellate briefs.
- Prepare memoranda of law and legal opinions.
- Develop persuasive legal arguments supported by statutes and case law.
- Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy.
- Assist with dispositive motions, evidentiary motions, and trial briefing.
- Review pleadings and provide legal analysis.
- Stay current on changes in Oklahoma law and relevant federal authority.
What We're Looking For:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Oklahoma Bar license (or ability to become licensed promptly).
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Experience drafting dispositive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda is highly preferred.
