Description:

Associate positions offered by Paul Hastings LLP (Century City, California). Serve the best interest of each of the firm's clients and represent them in their high stakes disputes in U.S. federal and state courts, U.S. domestic arbitrations, and international arbitrations. Assume responsibilities as one of the senior members of the practice group and supervise associates, paralegals, and other professional staff, as well as assist senior colleagues with forming and executing strategies. Mentor junior-level associates in the firm's Litigation Department. Help the firm develop business.

Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Juris Doctor or foreign equivalent degree and 4 years of experience working with the processes, procedures and legal framework for content production and exploitation, employment, and common industry contractual relationships in the entertainment industry. Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following: performing legal research and writing; managing and producing discovery; taking and defending depositions, including interviewing and examining witnesses; making oral arguments; supervising a team of lawyers and other professional staff; performing client management; conducting a sensitive investigation; and litigating employment, copyright, and trademark disputes. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California. Must be willing to travel domestically 20% and internationally 10%. Position reports to Century City, CA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering a salary of $420,000 to $435,000 per year.
