Smith Anderson's Finance Practice is a cornerstone of the firm's transactional platform, representing borrowers, banks, non‑bank lenders, and private credit providers in complex financing transactions nationwide. Our team of more than 20 finance attorneys brings experience from leading global law firms and advises on a full range of matters, including corporate and syndicated finance, sponsor and specialty finance, mezzanine finance, venture and technology finance, fund finance, and real estate finance. We routinely handle sophisticated lending transactions, leveraged acquisitions, and capital structures, working seamlessly with colleagues across mergers and acquisitions, tax, real estate, and other disciplines to deliver integrated, business‑focused solutions.

The ideal candidate will have three to five year's experience representing lenders in commercial real estate loan transactions, including acquisition, development, and construction financing. In particular, we prefer candidates with experience drafting, review, and negotiating commercial real estate lending documentation, as well as reviewing title, survey, leases and other aspects of commercial real state transaction due diligence.
