Baker Botts L.L.P. is seeking a Finance Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our Austin, Dallas, or Houston office. The ideal candidate will have experience representing lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions in sophisticated financing transactions, including syndicated lending, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, reserve-based lending, and other secured lending arrangements.Our Finance team advises clients on a broad range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions across industries including energy, infrastructure, private equity, and financial services. Candidates should have strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a collaborative environment. Admission to the Texas Bar or eligibility for admission is required.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad-based finance practice with meaningful client exposure, direct partner access, and hands-on responsibility for sophisticated transactions. Qualified candidates should have:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- 3-5 years of relevant finance experience at a peer law firm
- Experience with syndicated lending, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, reserve-based lending, or other secured lending transactions
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- The ability to effectively manage multiple transactions and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must be licensed or be eligible to sit for or waive into the Texas Bar
