Our firm is seeking an Elder Law and Medicaid Attorney to join our team! Seniors are our passion. Helping them through their journey in life brings us joy.Responsibilities:
- Supervision of paralegals and other staff.
- Represent clients with Medicaid applications and appeals.
- Communicate with clients regarding case updates and application processes and advise on legal matters.
- Manage calendar of deadlines and ensure all filings are completed prior to deadlines with the State.
- Draft and revise legal documents.
- Travel to our satellite offices as needed.
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Licensed member of the Texas State Bar.
- 2-4 years of experience practicing in elder law. Experience in Medicaid crisis planning is a must.
- Probate, guardianship, and estate planning experience a plus.
- Familiarity/membership with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the National Elder Law Foundation a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CELA designation is a plus.
