- Draft and review legal documents including petitions, pleadings, settlement agreements, and court motions
- Conduct thorough legal research on statutes, case law, and procedural rules relevant to family law matters
- Prepare cases for litigation through discovery, depositions, and evidence gathering
- Negotiate settlements that align with clients' best interests while maintaining professionalism and integrity
- Manage case files efficiently using legal case management software such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Stay current on changes in family law statutes and regulations to provide accurate advice and representation
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of family law procedures, statutes, and regulations
- Proven experience with estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, personal injury cases, contract drafting, general & commercial litigation, employment law cases, legal motion preparation, statutory legal research, legal administrative experience and more
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate favorable settlements for clients
- Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Excellent written communication skills for drafting clear and precise legal documents
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective research skills to support case strategies and procedural compliance
- Experience with legal case management systems to track case progress and deadlines
