GEICO is seeking a business-oriented attorney to support its marketing team. This role will provide legal guidance on consumer-facing advertising and marketing initiatives across social media, SMS, email, web, direct mail, and other channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and advise on consumer-facing marketing and advertising content.
- Advise on SMS marketing, email marketing, outbound calling, consent collection, opt-out requirements, and preference management.
- Review advertising claims, disclosures, testimonials, endorsements, influencer content, promotions, and sweepstakes.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 4-8 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or at a law firm supporting advertising, marketing, consumer protection, or communications compliance matters.
- Strong working knowledge of advertising law and TCPA, CTIA carrier rules, and CAN-SPAM.
- Ability to provide clear, practical, business-focused legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
Experience in insurance, financial services, telecommunications, or another highly regulated industry.

Bethesda, MD; Cleveland, OH, New York, NY. (Hybrid three days a week)
