Responsibilities:

Collaborate Across Experience Levels: Work seamlessly with a diverse legal team—from seasoned litigators to early-career professionals—while participating in cross-training initiatives to ensure continuity of client service.
Own Your Caseload: Manage cases from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and zealously advocating in court.
Strategically Manage Client Relationships: Communicate consistently and clearly with clients, managing expectations and building trust, while also supporting the firm's reputation through prospective client engagement.
Evaluate Complex Legal Matters: Analyze legal issues with precision, review and interpret key documents, and craft tailored strategies for each case.
Resolve Matters in the Client's Best Interest: Apply sound judgment, creativity, and problem-solving to achieve outcomes aligned with client goals while upholding the highest ethical standards.
Lead & Mentor Legal Support Staff: Provide guidance to paralegals and assistants, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional development within the team.
Commit to In-Office Engagement: Operate primarily on-site at our Miramar office to foster collaboration, collegiality, and client-focused culture during the probationary period. Hybrid flexibility is available.

Qualifications:

Proven Trial Experience: Confident courtroom presence with demonstrable success in evidentiary hearings and full trials. Trial acumen is non-negotiable.
Exceptional Judgment: Exercises sound legal and strategic judgment under pressure, always prioritizing the client's best interests while upholding the highest ethical standards.
Mastery of Court Procedure: Strong command of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Family Law Rules, and local judicial practices.
Advanced Negotiation Skills: Skilled in negotiating settlements effectively inside and outside of court, balancing assertiveness with diplomacy.
Articulate and Persuasive Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to draft compelling pleadings and deliver persuasive arguments.
Mediation & Settlement Experience: Proficient in managing mediations and settlement conferences with professionalism and focus on resolution.
Professional Networking: Capable of building and maintaining professional relationships, and willing to participate in firm-sponsored and community-based networking events.
Deposition Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in taking and defending depositions is highly valued.
Licensure: Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
