Beckman Feller & Chang P.C. is seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a strong background in real estate and landlord-tenant matters to join our growing firm. This position is intended to replace a departing attorney and offers a long-term opportunity that may evolve into an ownership or partnership role for the right candidate.We are looking for an attorney with an entrepreneurial mindset who is interested not only in handling a busy litigation practice but also in contributing to the growth and future direction of the firm through client development and marketing efforts.About the Firm:
Our practice focuses primarily on real estate litigation, including insurance defense work (through Travelers Insurance panel appointments) and a wide range of plaintiff and defense matters in commercial and residential real estate disputes. A significant portion of our work includes landlord-tenant litigation, representing both property owners and managers in unlawful detainer actions, as well as representing clients in commercial lease disputes.The firm is currently led by Richard Beckman, supported by two associates (one of whom is departing), and two paralegals (one full-time and one part-time), with plans to expand support staff further. The long-term vision of the firm includes transitioning leadership responsibilities to the next generation of attorneys, allowing for a gradual reduction in day-to-day trial work for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle litigation matters from intake through trial
- Manage real estate, landlord-tenant, and insurance defense cases
- Appear in court, take depositions, and manage case strategy
- Work directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Contribute to business development and firm growth
Ideal Candidate:
- Significant litigation experience (real estate/landlord-tenant preferred)
- Strong courtroom and case management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in firm growth
- California Bar admission required
- Interest in long-term leadership or partnership opportunity
