Brinker & Doyen, LLP is seeking a motivated and driven Associate Attorney to join our growing civil litigation defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients, taking ownership of cases, and being actively involved in all stages of litigation.The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in Missouri and preferably Illinois, with an interest in civil litigation defense and a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation.
The successful candidate will be:
- An excellent written and oral communicator
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to independently manage multiple cases and competing deadlines
- A self-starter who takes ownership of assignments and follows through
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal professionals
- Interested in developing strong litigation and client-management skills
Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney will have the opportunity to take an active role in all aspects of civil litigation, including:
- Meeting and communicating with clients, attorneys, and witnesses
- Drafting, reviewing, and responding to discovery requests and motions
- Taking and defending depositions
- Appearing in court, both in person and via Webex
- Conducting legal and medical research
- Collaborating with attorneys and legal professionals on case preparation, litigation strategy, and resolution
- Maintaining accurate and timely billable time records
