General Statement of Responsibilities:
Manage the flow of Workers Compensation cases in the litigation process from beginning to end.

Work Hours:
8:00 – 5:00

Position Responsibilities:
  • Draft & review all pleadings
  • Attend court appearances.
  • Attend and take depositions
  • Settle cases.
  • Review all discovery requests and responses.
  • Schedule depositions and court dates.
  • Research issues as necessary.
  • Prepare responses to motions.

Other Information Relevant to the Position:
  • Detail orientated.
  • Ability to listen to clients and have them listen to you.
  • Occasional travel for coverage in other office locations and to courts

Education, Experience, Qualifications, Licenses, & Certifications Required:
  • Education – Undergrad and JD Requires
  • Experience – basic workers compensation experience
  • Licenses – Ohio Bar
  • Technology Skills - Competence in file management software and Microsoft Office

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Date from case settled to check received does not exceed 90 days
  • X number of settlements per month
  • 70% of cases have no fee reductions
  • Client terminations fewer than 5 per year
  • Fewer than 10 cases with no notes for more than 90 days
