Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our work injury department. All experience levels will be considered. This role requires excellent legal drafting skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and a commitment to advocating for clients in litigation settings. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception through resolution, ensuring that all legal documents are prepared accurately and timely.
Duties:
- Represent clients in court and during legal proceedings, including trials and hearings.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Manage case files efficiently while maintaining meticulous records of all communications and documentation.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide sound legal advice regarding their cases.
- Prepare for depositions, mediations, and arbitrations as necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in laws relevant to litigation practices and client interests.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
- Proven experience in litigation preferred, but not required.
- Strong skills in legal drafting and the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing case files and documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
