Opportunity:Our well-established law firm has an opening for a motivated associate to join our dynamic Employment practice group in our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will bring at least one-year of experience in any litigation field, with a keen interest in employment law. Experience in defending wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuits, is highly desirable. We seek someone with experience in litigation, including, ideally, experience in case management, motion practice, as well as the taking and defending of depositions. Responsibilities:
- Handle wage and hour class/PAGA actions and/or single plaintiff employment lawsuits from inception through conclusion.
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Attend court hearings and trials
- Assist in client meetings and consultations
- Manage caseloads and ensure deadlines are met
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience as an attorney.
- Experience in Employment Law preferred
- Admission to the CA Bar is mandatory.
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent academic credentials.
