A Law Firm in Sarasota, Florida, the region's largest and oldest law firm founded in 1925, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1–5 years of experience to join our growing team in Sarasota, Florida. We welcome early-career attorneys eager to build their litigation practice. A portable book of business is not required, and candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Florida or planning to relocate and sit for the Florida Bar in the near future.

Requirements:
  • Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Member of The Florida Bar or licensed to practice law in another state and in good standing with a willingness to sit for the Florida Bar exam in the near future is required.
  • Experience: 1–5 years of litigation experience, with a strong interest in developing trial skills and handling complex legal matters. Comprehensive training through mentorship and hands-on experience alongside some of the best professionals in the field will accelerate knowledge and skill development.
  • Client Service & Relationship Building: Demonstrates a strong commitment to understanding client needs and delivering responsive, high-quality service. Builds trust through professionalism, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to resolving legal matters.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally. Works well with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders to support case strategy, execution, and successful outcomes.
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Applies sound judgment and initiative to identify legal issues, organize discovery materials, and contribute meaningfully to case strategy and trial preparation.
  • Business Development & Initiative: Shows enthusiasm and self-motivation to grow professionally and contribute to the firm's success. Actively seeks learning opportunities and takes ownership of assignments, regardless of whether a portable book of business is present.
