Eldreth Law Firm, PLLC a mid-sized law firm focusing in civil, corporate, contract, and real estate litigation is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated attorney with litigation experience who is looking to take the next step in their career in a collaborative and high-caliber legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of complex commercial and/or civil litigation cases, from inception through trial and appeal
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in hearings
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients
- Manage discovery, including document review, interrogatories, and requests for production
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
- Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in North Carolina
- Litigation experience at a law firm or comparable legal environment
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Proven ability to manage cases independently and work effectively in a team
- Experience handling depositions, hearings, and/or trials preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
