Thompson Coburn is seeking an associate with 3-4 years of relevant legal experience to join its business litigation group in the New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience representing fiduciaries and/or beneficiaries in complex trust, estate, and guardianship disputes in the New York Surrogate's and Supreme Courts, including contested probate, accounting, and guardianship proceedings, disputed administration and discretionary actions, and prudent investor claims. Responsibilities include drafting motions and pleadings, conducting legal research, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with court appearances, hearings, and trial preparation. Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position is open to recruiters. All candidates must currently be licensed to practice law in the New York.The salary range for this position in our New York office is $215,000-$240,000. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training, and other job-related factors. The range listed is just one part of Thompson Coburn's total compensation and benefits package, which includes productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
