Who We Need: Our litigation team is looking for an associate attorney with 0-2 years of relevant experience to work in our commercial litigation practice group. We are looking for a lawyer who is hard working, self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced legal environment, and contributes to our positive culture.Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad range of commercial disputes in both state and federal courts.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct discovery, including depositions and document review.
- Prepare and argue motions.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case management.
- Manage client communications and provide timely updates.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the New York State Bar.
- 0-2 years of experience, with a background in litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to learn from experienced attorneys.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- This position is primarily performed in an office setting and involves extended periods of sitting, working at a computer, and communicating via phone and email, with or without reasonable accommodation.
