Description:
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly qualified Litigation Associate to join our team in either our Tacoma or Seattle office. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of litigation experience, probate experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a busy litigation team in managing matters from investigation through resolution or trial
- Draft pleadings, handle discovery, take and defend depositions, and argue motions
- Analyze contracts, including indemnity and insurance provisions
- Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and trial settings
- Contribute to case strategy, client communication, and risk assessment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar
- 5+ years of litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent judgment, communication, and case management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Probate/TEDRA litigation experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to manage multiple high-level cases with limited supervision
