We are a growing litigation firm with offices in Austin and Houston, serving clients throughout Texas. We are seeking a Texas-licensed litigation attorney who wants meaningful courtroom work, ownership of their cases, and the flexibility to build a sustainable career without the punishing billable-hour requirements common at many firms.

$91,000–$137,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications

The Role:
Our practice focuses on real estate litigation, and our cases range from relatively modest disputes to multimillion-dollar litigation, giving our attorneys exposure to an unusually broad variety of matters.

Your docket may include habitability and property-condition claims, security-deposit disputes, eviction defense, debt defense and consumer protection, contract disputes, foreclosures, post-judgment collection, real estate fraud and conversion, landlord trespass, and premises liability.

Associates take ownership of their files and are expected to move cases forward, including appearing in court as appropriate. At the same time, we work collaboratively, regularly reviewing cases and strategy as a team so attorneys have the benefit of their colleagues' experience when difficult issues arise.

Associates also conduct prospective-client consultations and help evaluate which matters are right for the firm.

Who We're Looking for:
We are looking for a Texas attorney who is ready to take meaningful responsibility for an active litigation docket.

Required:

Active membership in the State Bar of Texas
At least one year of experience practicing law as a licensed attorney; newly licensed attorneys with strong litigation, trial-advocacy, clinic, internship, mock-trial, or moot-court experience are also encouraged to apply
Litigation, courtroom, or comparable trial-advocacy experience
Ability and initiative to manage a caseload and appear in court, with collaborative strategy review and support as needed
Strong legal research, drafting, and verbal advocacy skills
Working knowledge of, or the ability to quickly develop proficiency in, the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence
Professional reliability, responsiveness, accountability, and integrity

Strongly preferred:

Demonstrated trial-advocacy ability or aptitude for courtroom litigation; first-chair or meaningful second-chair experience is a plus, but not required
Experience with the Texas Property Code and/or real estate litigation
Spanish-language fluency
